Senior Software Implementation Specialist
This position provides indepth technical support for one or more System z software products developed by 21st Century Software and focuses on delivering targeted solutions and services to clients.
As a Senior Software Implementation Specialist at 21CS you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for delivering highquality support implementation services and tailored solutions for our suite of System z software products. This role involves collaborating with enterpriselevel clients to ensure successful deployment integration and operation of our software within their z/OS environments. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to guide customers through all phases of implementationfrom initial planning and customization to longterm support and optimization.
Responsibilities
Understand customer requirements and translate into implementation plans and customization needs.
Establish and manage client and project expectations at the start of every engagement.
Collaborate and guide customers through established bestpractices procedures.
Ability to work independently as well as in a remote team environment.
Prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently regardless of timeline variations.
Perform product implementations and customization through remote login or at customer site.
Provide technical leadership and transfer technical skills and knowledge to clients as needed.
Participate in remote meetings with clients to effectively communicate project status.
Demonstrate excellent written/documentation skills technical and nontechnical.
Act as technical focal point for problem determination analysis identification testing and resolution.
Report and appropriately escalate issues and concerns to management as needed and in a timely manner.
Manage the relationship with clients/partners and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize possible project impacts.
Collaborate with Customer and / or IBM Project Managers to ensure all required milestones are met.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years handson Systems Support and/or z/OS Systems Programming experience supporting largescale z/OS environments required.
Comprehensive understanding of JCL and IBM Utilities required.
Comprehensive understanding of System z SMF records.
Demonstrated experience in z/OS software product installation and customization required.
Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
For General Skills:
Presales experience (presentations demos conference speaker).
Knowledge of IBM Db2 for z/OS SQL and Db2 Utilities.
For Performance/Capacity Skills:
Knowledge of IBM Tivoli Decision Support for z/OS or IBM Z Decision Support.
Knowledge of z/OS performance management and capacity planning software.
Knowledge of z/OS financial management (aka chargeback) software.
For Storage Resiliency Skills:
Understanding of replication technologies such as PPRC/XRC/GDPS.
Experience with DFHSM.
Experience with Job Schedulers (CA7 TWS etc..
Experience with Tape Management (CA1 RMM etc..
Familiarity with system automation.
