Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning in AmerExt. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete prerequisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

Key job responsibilities
Monitor the network health customer demand anticipate risks resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the tradeoffs needed.
Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
End to end responsibility for the programs and success.
Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
Develop and implement scalable datadriven process improvement/automated solutions.
Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role

About the team
The Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team ensures data center network and port capacity is available for incoming customer racks (demand). Customer racks (also known as server racks) need this capacity (networking racks) to gain access to the AWS network to provide service capacity for AWS customers. TIPMs are responsible for coordinating with the Builds Infra TIPMs IDND Optical NW team and Supply Chain to ensure datacenter capacity in time.

5 years of technical infrastructure management experience
5 years experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
5 years conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis

Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of SQL Excel and Tableau

Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network data center hardware software)

Anticipates identifies and drives resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems.
Selfmotivated problem solver; able to thrive in a fastpaced and customerfocused environment adapts to change quickly.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
