Role Descriptor
DHL Express is looking for a Security Manager to join and lead our team. He/she will be responsible to ensure that DHL is the benchmark for security excellence in the air express industry. Carryout audits coordinate and liaise with BCAS for maintenance of Regulated Agent (RA) status for concerned primary GTW (DEL or BLR). Initiate coordinate and implement investigations into losses and other security incidents relating to DHL assets personnel and shipments carried by DHL. Develop implement and monitor policies procedures and security practices to safeguard DHL employees and customers shipments DHL assets and information against loss damage and incident.

Key Responsibilities
He/she will have to perform the following key activities:
DHL Customers:
o Provide professional security and support
National Operations Manager Country Management:
Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCAS) Airport Operators RA3 certification agency in EU & UK:
o Maintain close liaison with BCAS on all matters related to civil aviation security in India
o Ensure all compliances related to RA and RA3 status are complied with at all times
o Maintain close coordination with airport operators for all matters related to ground security within dedicated cargo complex in Delhi GTW
Security Vendors Security Consultants Private investigators:
o Source appropriate security vendors and consultants with respect to the purchase of security equipment undertaking of investigations etc.
o Monitor and audit the security services provided and maintain a monthly performance report
Law Enforcement Security Officials Local Authorities & Regulatory Bodies Security Consultants Private Investigators:
DHL Legal Representatives:
All DHL country Staff:
o Enlist the support of all DHL staff to ensure that DHLs environment is safe and secure.
Security Managers at other DHL locations:
o Liaise closely to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
Regional Office:
o Provide regular updates on security issues.
o Ensure compliance to regional security policies and procedures.
Aviation Security:
o To conduct regular audits as per BCAS requirement. Participate in meetings organized by BCAS and Airport Operators. Ensure immediate implementation of circulars issued by BCAS.
o Plan regular trainings on AVSEC for all screeners and security assistants deployed at primary GTWs (DEL).
Driving Security Excellence:
o Develop implement and monitor policies procedures and security practices to safeguard DHL employees customers shipments DHL assets and information against loss damage or incident.
o Coordinate country security activities and ensure compliance of DHL staff and subcontractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual.
o Conduct security audits (and assist other audit teams e.g. TAPA & TSP) both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures at country sites.
o Coordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security training programmes for country personnel and in particular DHL specific training programmes such as CIS Security NHO and Recertification.
o Conduct Security related investigations and other enquiries as required.
Security related Networking:
o Develop extensive contacts with Security personnel in a variety of industries including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies
o Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within DHL as security of the shipment in DHL custody is an endtoend process.
Security Incident Database Information Management:
o Provide input and participate in the reporting of security incidents into the database.
o Prepare and analyse the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents including Dangerous Goods. Where appropriate recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security incidents as they occur.
External security analysis:
o Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events and criminal trends.
Incumbent will manage a team of approx. 40 which includes security personal consisting of AVSEC auditor Security Supervisor Xray Screener and Gateway Security Assistant.
He/she must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions through provision of valueadded inputs into the organisations business processes.

1520 years of experience in security military or police.
Basic Aviation Security Course
