Description

Overview:
The Sales Engineer is a key member of MOTORs National Accounts Technical Sales Team working alongside the sales team to support current and prospective customers with technical expertise. This role serves as the bridge between MOTORs Products and client needs driving customer satisfaction and product success. The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in MOTORs mission by combining technical knowledge customer advocacy and sales support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and product support during the sales process.
  • Understand client use cases and recommend the optimal MOTOR products.
  • Stay up to date on MOTORs product offerings and deliver dynamic presentations and product demos.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and Product Management to drive improvements.
  • Share customer feedback and advocate for new features.
  • Assist in creating proposals with accurate pricing structures.
  • Ensure smooth client transitions to MOTORs Customer Service Team.
  • Stay informed on industry trends competitor products and market opportunities.
  • Respond to technical RFPs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Attend customer visits and industry events when required.
  • Review and approve contracts.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong presentation interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence.
  • Proven problemsolving adaptability and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn and figure out technical solutions independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and data licensing (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within North America.
