This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn a singleconfiguration heavylift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earths orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a sevenmeter payload fairing New Glenn is building the road to space.

As part of a small team you will work on launch vehicles space vehicles and launch facility systems for the New Glenn Program. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

You will work across subsystems which integrate with primary structure and support the development integrated solutions to achieve our vision of millions of people living and working in space and apply system engineering practices across subject areas predicated to a high degree on your technical skills support the development of system engineering processes for the program ensure consistent implementations across the program and serve in a system integration capacity working with multidiscipline teams to arrive at technical system solutions. You will also support the development allocation verification of requirements at all levels of the program using tools like DOORS Next Gen system lifecycle configuration management tools and other functional analysis toolsets.

Additionally this role requires understanding and supporting requirements decomposition/analysis and traceability functional analysis of designs systems analysis safety analysis technical performance monitoring developing strategies and approaches for specialty engineering (operability reliability maintainability supportability) and system product life cycle processes. You will also support the alignment and consistent implementation of New Glenn system engineering practices throughout the product value stream as well as across program systems. You will also help develop health metrics to support insight into program health and tracking to major milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Aerospace Industrial engineering or a similar technical field.
  • Solid foundation in static strength analysis pressure vessels and strength of materials (this should cover most of the basics for an engineering graduate)
  • 3 years of proven experience in a technical field
  • Experience with system engineering principles and a solid understanding of the design/analysis lifecycle
  • Experience in at least one of the areas of analysis design or integrated testing of complex systems
  • Possess skills in strategic system thinking excellent written and oral communication skills proactive in moving the program forward through team collaborations to achieve timely decisions
  • Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must possess a bias for action and a willingness to take ownership of processes and products to ensure a highquality deliverable to our customers
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering fields particularly mechanical aerospace and materials
  • Launch vehicle experience cryogenics and experience with mechanical systems structural and pressure vessel designs is a plus
  • System development/integration experience from concept to hardware implementation preferably with aerospace hardware
  • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies including gated reviews and design verification/validation
  • Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS Next Gen Jira Confluence and Jazz is desired.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $96310.00$134833.65
