Job Description

The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools serves 1600 students ranging from PreK12 and is a free openenrollment public charter school. Over 92 of our students are Latinx. Our school system consists of Guadalupe Centers High School Guadalupe Centers Middle School and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. Our system grew out of Guadalupe Centers educational programming. Guadalupe Centers is the longest continuously operating agency serving the Latinx community in the US since 1919. Our roots in our community run deep.

A School Bus Driver must be goaloriented hardworking and enthusiastic. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds in an urban setting.

Reports To:S.I.S and Data Coordinator

Job Description:

Responsible for the transportation of students to and from schools and in various other District activities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent lifting of fifty 50 pounds
  • Frequent overhead reaching and lifting of twenty 20 pounds
  • Constant sitting
  • Frequent standing walking squatting stooping and climbing
  • Ability to clear an exit door that is 42 inches from the ground
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Report all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Pass annual pre and postride checks with the required paperwork.
  • Attend training programs meetings and inservice days as required by the System or the state.
  • Perform daily pre and postroute safety inspections on the assigned vehicles. Service vehicle as required.
  • Maintain student conduct that ensures the safety of all students.
  • Pass the annual CDE test.

Certifications:

Commercial Drivers License (CDL)with School Bus Endorsement and Air Brakes Missouri with School Bus Endorsements

First Aid/CPR Certification Missouri
