Assoc Director Corporate Affairs Events

What you will do

Lets do this! Lets change the world! In this vital role the Associate Director Events will lead the strategic planning and delivery of Amgens corporatelevel events ensuring they are impactful innovative and aligned with corporate objectives. This role will be responsible for internal and external events including leadership meetings allemployee town halls and special initiatives to foster connection alignment and engagement across Amgens workforce and stakeholders. The Associate Director will manage event operations logistics and creative elements ensuring excellence in delivery. Specifically this individual will lead biannual meetings of Amgens Officers annual meetings of Executive Directors and Officers as well as select corporate sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Strategy and Design

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for internal and external events that aligns with Amgens goals and values.
• Design events to inspire employees engage stakeholders and communicate business priorities.
• Stay ahead of trends in virtual hybrid and inperson event planning to deliver cuttingedge experiences. Act as goto resource for global Corporate Affairs team on event best practices.

Event Operations and

• Lead endtoend planning and delivery of events including leadership meetings allemployee town halls and special initiatives.
• Oversee budgets logistics and vendor management to ensure seamless delivery.
• Partner with internal teams including content and creative to enhance the storytelling and visual experience of events.

Collaboration Across Teams

• Work closely with senior leaders to ensure events reflect their vision and meet strategic objectives.
• Partner with IT/IS to integrate technology solutions for virtual and hybrid events.
• Collaborate with HR and Corporate Affairs to align events with key internal initiatives.

Measurement and Impact

• Establish metrics to assess the success of events and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on event performance and outcomes.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of corporate communications experience

Or

Masters degree and 7 years of corporate communications experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 9 years of corporate communications experience

Or

Associates degree and 12 years of corporate communications experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 14 years of corporate communications experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in public relations communications journalism or related field

• Experience working inhouse or within a creative agency

• Hands on experience producing live events including managing logistical teams and creative content

• Strategic and creative thinker

• Ability to interact with all levels of management and manage staff and vendors

• Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic team player and selfstarter

• Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.

• Problemsolving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $130499 to $162909. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
