IT GENERALIST INTERNSHIP
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: The IT Generalist Internship will provide a learning environment for an individual with a passion toward Information Technology. While the duties described below are presented for helpdesk roles for Data Analytics and Development may be available. The start/stop dates of this role are negotiable but planned for 5/15 8/30/2025. This role is onsite at our Grand Rapids MI location. Only local residents will be considered. This opportunity will include providing frontline support for both Windows and Mac OSX based workstations in an Active Directory environment. On a day to day basis this individual will act as the first point of contact for all technical issues and needs including software distribution hardware and software troubleshooting.
The IT Generalist Intern will report to the Director of IT for the duration of the internship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as the initial contact for reporting technical issues and answering questions regarding upgrades installations and other software/hardware/network issues.
- Accurately diagnose client technical issues; gather the necessary information; and perform standard preliminary research using all relevant available resources.
- Help maintain install and upgrade IT equipment including workstations laptops phones printers and other IT related hardware and software.
- Effectively communicate with staff in a clear positive and professional manner.
- Provide IT support via email phone and in person.
- Assist with ERP projects when needed.
- Maintain and update technical documents.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in IT Certification / Education.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 30lbs regularly.
- Must be able to work with confidential records in a professional manner. Must have the utmost concern for the privacy of employees management and owners.
- Data Visualization Experience with Microsoft PowerBi or Tableau a plus.
