ICF seeks OnCall Archaeologists for Crew Chief and Crew Member levels for our Pacific Northwest region (based in Seattle Portland or Central Oregon). The OnCall/Temporary Archaeologist will initially be working on a large pedestrian block survey in northcentral Oregon expected to run for 2 months working 8 days on 6 days off field schedule. This project is expected to start in midtolate May. Single occupancy hotels will be provided for 8 day rotations as well as transportation to and from Seattle/Portland/Central Oregon if needed. $68 per diem is also provided for working days. Additional work after this survey is available and would primarily include fieldwork with tasks including construction monitoring survey testing evaluation and data recovery. However other duties could include laboratory analysis conducting background research report writing and other tasks as assigned. This position requires excellent field skills the ability to identify precontract and historicperiod artifacts and taking detailed field notes. About OnCall Employment with ICF

Given the seasonal or projectspecific nature of our environmental work ICF often hires environmental professionals as OnCall employees. OnCall employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (while we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time last minute scheduling may also occur) andeach oncall employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. OnCall employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (as long as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).

These positions are parttime and paid hourly as nonexempt.

Crew Member $25 to $30

Crew Chief $30 to $35

What You Must Have Crew Member

• Bachelors degree in Archaeology Anthropology or related field

• 2 years of experience in archaeological fieldwork including monitoring and survey

• Must have valid drivers license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Additional Knowledge & Experience

• Ability to hike up to 10 miles a day in rugged terrain.

• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with ICF staff and construction personnel

• Strong knowledge and familiarity with computers smart devices and completing data entry in application interfaces (such as ArcGIS Collector).

• Experience in precontact or historicperiod archaeology of the Pacific Northwest

• Ability to conduct field visits at locations in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.

What You Must Have Crew Chief

• Bachelors degree in Archaeology Anthropology or related field

• 2 years of experience supervising archaeological survey

• Must have valid drivers license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Additional Knowledge & Experience

• Ability to hike up to 10 miles a day in rugged terrain.

• Ability to independently record archaeological sites and produce quality notes forms and geospatial data

• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with ICF staff

• Strong knowledge and familiarity with computers smart devices and completing data entry in application interfaces (such as ArcGIS Collector).

• Experience in precontact or historicperiod archaeology

• Ability to conduct field visits at locations in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.

Pay Range There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on fulltime employment is:
