Job Description

Join our General Services Bureau

Support our Records Services Section by managing daily box pulls and deliveries to and from the Records Center. This is a very physical position that involves lifting boxes weighing up to 70 pounds regularly sometimes hundreds on a heavy day. Youll be climbing reaching bending twisting and lifting throughout the day.

You will assist with the processing retrieval delivery receiving and refiling of all district records storage boxes as needed. During downtime youll help with document preparation and imaging ensuring compliance with District policies and Florida Administrative Code 1B26.003. Starting Compensation:
Business Process Technician 2 $15.20 $16.87
Business Process Technician 3 $16.19 $17.97
Business Process Technician 4 $17.24 $19.13

The starting salary range for the Business Process Technician positionreflects the minimum to 20 of the compensation. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.

Essential Functions

Records Center

  • Retrieve deliver return and reshelve records boxes in the Districts onsite Records Center ensuring accuracy of box locations.
  • Conduct weekly and asneeded inventories of records boxes both stored and checked out.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be physically capable of routinely lifting boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Use computerized business systems webbased platforms and other technologies to complete assignments.
  • Use data management systems to organize store and retrieve records.

Document Imaging

  • Perform document imaging in compliance with District policies and Florida Administrative Code 1B26.003.
  • Meet established production goals.

Forklift Service

  • Coordinate and provide forklift service for loading/unloading record boxes destined for destruction.

Working Conditions

Work activity is primarily standing with ability to perform continuous repetitive tasks with one or both hands /feet. Employees must continuously lift and carry up to 40 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying objects up to 70 pounds. There is an occasional need to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds. Activity involves the ability to frequently bend squat crawl climb and reach above shoulder level. Must operate a District automotive vehicle or gas cart for extended periods 2 hours). Employee may be subject to callin outside of regularly scheduled work hours or required to be on call including on nights weekends or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.

Additional Details

This position is typically scheduled to work 40 hours per week 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday out of Brooksville FL. This position is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours a week.

Travel Required

travel using District vehicle within Districts coverage area.
