Job Description

Multiple Academic Positions in Law Education Focussed and Education & Research (Levels B C or D)

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our vibrant academic community in two streams:

1. EducationFocused

2. Education and ResearchFocused

These are continuing opportunities for academics from Levels B C and D. Applications are invited from academics with experience in all areas of law but we are especially interested in applicants with a track record of teaching in the core law curriculum. We also have needs in a range of electives such as Advocacy and Negotiation and clinical subjects.

A summary of what we are seeking in each stream is provided below.

EducationFocused (Teaching & Learning)

Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the work of the Melbourne Law School in teaching and learning engagement and leadership and service and undertake some research (which may be scholarship related to pedagogy/Scholarship of Teaching and Learning). They will teach in the Melbourne Juris Doctor (JD) programme and in the Melbourne Law Masters (MLM) as required usually including one or more of the core JD subjects. They may also contribute to teaching law related subjects to students in other faculties including Breadth subjects.

Education and ResearchFocused (Teaching Learning & Research)

Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the work of the Melbourne Law School in teaching and learning research engagement and leadership and service. They will teach in the Melbourne Juris Doctor (JD) programme and in the Melbourne Law Masters (MLM) as required usually including in one or more of the core JD subjects. They may also contribute to teaching law related subjects to students in other faculties including undergraduate Breadth subjects.
