Job Description
Position
WCF Insurance Information Technology (IT) department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Manager Business Intelligence reporting to the VP Data and Business Intelligence. This is a fulltime exempt position that works in the WCFs Sandy Utah office NOT REMOTE.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of business intelligence developers in designing and delivering interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Contribute strategic thought leadership to shape the companys business intelligence vision and standards.
- Empower the WCF BI community through data governance guidance training and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Apply critical thinking and creativity to innovative design of visualizations that communicate complex concepts.
- Design build and optimize data models to support analytics ensuring accuracy reliability and efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging technologies to identify novel opportunities to improve analytics automation and decisionmaking across the enterprise.
- Manage and provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to direct reports department peers and crossfunctional team members.
- Create an effective team by establishing objectives upholding standards paying attention to details and fostering the development of each member.
Qualifications
The most qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in business statistics data science or a related field.
- At least five years of related work experience (or nine years of related work experience without a degree. Insurance experience is a plus.
- At least three years of previous management experience.
- Strong leadership ability to develop team members and work with stakeholders.
- A track record of showing initiative and problemsolving.
- A natural curiosity for data visualization and insurance trends combined with an analytical mindset for critical thinking and drawing meaningful conclusions from complex data.
- Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy integrity and security across all BI platforms.
- Strong data visualization design and development skills preferably with Power BI.
- Effective communication and presentation skills with emphasis on visual and written communication.

All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. The expected salary for this position is $103280$129100 depending on location experience and education.
Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance 6 months in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
