Position: Math Interventionist
Location:Casa Grande Union High School
Reports To: Principal or designee
Job Goal:
The Math Interventionist will provide targeted support to high school students who are struggling with mathematics. The primary goal is to help students improve their math skills build confidence and achieve academic success. The Math Interventionist will work closely with teachers administrators and parents to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.

Qualifications to perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required to be successful:
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid High School Arizona teaching certification in Mathematics or a related area.
- Experience working with high school students particularly in a math intervention or support role.
- Strong knowledge of math concepts and effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers administrators and parents.
- Patience empathy and a passion for helping students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify students in need of math intervention through assessments teacher referrals and performance data.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each students needs.
- Provide oneonone and small group instruction to reinforce math concepts and skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with the regular math curriculum.
- Monitor and track student progress adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and strategies for support at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math intervention.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must pass Department of Public Safety Fingerprint clearance check.
- Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately. Photo identification and work visa (if necessary) will be needed for fingerprint clearance card and I9 documentation prior to first day of work.
EVALUATION:
- Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
- Proof of Mumps Measles and Rubella (MMR) vaccination.
- Valid government issued identification or current work visa with expiration date.
- Unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted with applications official transcripts will be due upon job offer*
* Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation word for word by an acceptable translator. Additionally each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
