Job Description
Marching Band: Front Ensemble Technician
The Upper Dublin Marching Cardinals have an opening for a Front Ensemble Technician. This position will be in charge of leading ensemble sectional rehearsals and troubleshooting section issues during full ensemble rehearsals. Front Ensemble members would report to this person first. Duties would include leading sectionals being on the field during full ensemble and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Availability for the following
- Band Camp
- Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals 3:156pm)
- Football games
- Saturday rehearsals and competitions
- Assigning parts to ensemble members
- Teaching basic playing technique
- Teaching music
- Collaborating with the marching band staff
- Maintaining a professional and educational environment for band members
Skills Abilities and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Performance experience in marching ensembles (marching band drum corps indoor percussion)
- DCI DCA WGI or college marching band experience preferred
- Ability to teach pitched and nonpitched percussion
- Skill with MIDI and audio equipment preferred
