Job Description

Marching Band: Drill Designer/Field Technician

The Upper Dublin Marching Cardinals have an opening for a Drill Designer/Field Tech. This position will be in charge of designing show elements running sectional rehearsals and troubleshooting section issues during full ensemble rehearsals. Duties would include collaborating with the marching band director and coordinators leading sectionals and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Availability for the following
    • Band Camp
    • Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals 3:156pm)
    • Football games
    • Saturday rehearsals and competitions
  • Assigning parts to ensemble members
  • Teaching basic playing technique
  • Teaching music
  • Collaborating with the marching band staff
  • Maintaining a professional and educational environment for band members

Skills Abilities and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Performance experience in marching ensembles (marching band drum corps indoor percussion)
  • DCI DCA WGI or college marching band experience preferred
