Job Description

Kyowa Kirin is a fastgrowing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies stateoftheart biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four disease areas: bone and mineral; intractable hematologic; hematology oncology; and rare disease. The Senior Medical Director Global Medical Affairs Oncology will serve as a key leader within the global medical affairs team driving strategic initiatives to advance myeloid malignancy programs and ensure alignment with corporate role involves leading global medical strategies for oncology assets including fostering collaborations with alliance partner companies and supporting evidence generation and scientific exchange to improve patient position requires strong leadership crossfunctional collaboration and expertise in oncology therapeutic areas.

  • Develop and execute the global medical affairs strategy for oncology assets including prelaunch planning and longterm strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (e.g. R&D HEOR Market Access) to ensure alignment of medical strategies with broader corporate goals.
  • Lead integrated medical data generation plans including clinical trials and realworld evidence projects.
  • Work closely with alliance partner companies to align on joint medical strategies ensuring seamless collaboration across shared programs.
  • Coordinate activities related to evidence generation external engagement and shared medical initiatives with the alliance partner.
  • Serve as the primary medical scientific lead for healthcare decisionmakers globally facilitating scientific exchange on disease state management and the clinical/economic value of oncology products.
  • Identify evidence gaps and provide insights to internal teams to inform portfolio development and customer engagement strategies.
  • Oversee ongoing medical studies and ensure highquality outcomes aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) healthcare systems advocacy organizations and payer networks globally.
  • Represent the organization at major scientific conferences and advisory boards to communicate medical insights and establish thought leadership in oncology.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the global medical affairs team.

Education

  • Advanced degree required (MD PharmD or PhD preferred). Additional qualifications in health economics public health or health policy are a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required; Liquid tumor experience strongly preferred.
  • A combination of Global and Regional/Country medical affairs experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing global medical strategies and leading crossfunctional teams is required.
  • Experience working collaboratively with alliance partners or external stakeholders is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HEOR disciplines biostatistics clinical trial design and evidencebased medicine principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication presentation and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across matrix environments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with tools used in clinical trial design or health outcomes research is advantageous.

NonTechnical Skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while managing ambiguity effectively.
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability within multinational organizations.
  • Passion for personal learning and professional development.

Location & Employment Type
