Plans organizes and directs the operations of the Laboratory departments at all Vista Health System sites. These job responsibilities are consistent with those of a technical supervisor (except for Blood Bank) and a general supervisor as defined in the CLIA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the departments meet all infection control and safety standards as specified by the regulatory agencies and Vista Health.
- Plan and direct department operations.
- Plan and direct the management and development of department staff.
- Develop and monitor department budgets.
- Develop implement and monitor quality control and performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Master or bachelors degree in a chemical physical biological clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- At least six years of experience in a highly complex clinical laboratory setting with at least three years of experience in a laboratory leadership role.
- Completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program accredited by ABHES CAHEA or other organization approved by HHS.
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
