Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as aStaff Accountant II. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will lead daily operations from a support and administrative level coordinating complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare and/or approve journal entries money moves and administrative system accounting reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts and client insured records preparing revenue and expense reports while coordinating accruals for timely monthly and quarterly closes.
- Perform variation and trend analysis for key general ledger accounts presenting findings to senior management and ensuring compliance with SOX procedures and GAAP.
- Provide guidance and verification of work for less experienced accountants offering functional advice and training as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal accounting policies and process improvements for general accounting functions.
What you need to have:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
