Job Purpose
The Packaging lead Wider Asia will be responsible for Packaging development portfolio and people for 4 BUs i.e. ISC ANZ SEAT NA.
The Pakaging lead Wider Asia is key member of the Innovation and Development Team and exists to:
o Ensure that the innovations provide a superior consumer experience via better holistic packaging experience.
o Be the Voice of the Consumer and packaging technology for R&D recommending strategic choices on where to play and how to win with consumers.
o Drive the Sustainable packaging agenda.
o
The scope of the role is accountable for packaging innovation across all 4 BUs 2.6B). Innovation and sustainable packaging have been identified as strategic priority areas for business.
Identify Packaging development strategies across categories visions/north stars for superior packaging experience.
Ensure that superior packaging solutions are built and delivered as part of Innovations.
Lead the team of packaging scientists who work within the Category or Bus to drive the innovation portfolio in a consumerled way through the pipeline. Ensure best practices and generated across BU s and categories.
Develop leading edge capabilities in packaging team based on strong consumer understanfding latest technology solutions and Product solutions to give Haleon a competitive advantage.
The roles involves direct strategic leadership of teams as well as a large degree of partnering and influencing at a high level across the organization (eg Head of I&DCSPX SPM CBIA and AMD).
The ideal candidate must have a unique skill set with a strong scientific background a good understanding of the entire innovation process expertise in packaging development a high level of commercial awareness via experience with working with commercial and marketing teams leadership and influencing skills a high level of creativity problem solving and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
Acts as a Packaging champion for the I&D and RDLT driving the R&D innovation strategy based on
1. Packaging and consumer experience.
2. Superior solutions
3. Superior delivery mechanisms
4. sustainable packaging solutions
Functional leader for Packaging Scientists setting functional vision strategy and objectives driving standards quality and regulatory compliance consistency and ensuring excellence in performance talent acquisition and management.
Appropriately allocates team resources in order to ensure category needs are being met.
Develops leading edge capabilities for packaging capabilities which deliver a competitive advantage.
Experience Required
Strong technical expertise in packaging development: materials conversion technologies packproduct interaction regulatory frameworks technical design for packing lines and downstream logistics
15 years minimum experience in FMCG/Healthcare
35 years minimum experience as a team manager and functional leade.
Global experience in Packgaing and Products.
Leadership communication and influencing skills ability to lead change
Commercially savvy
Senior role which needs to leverage significant experience in the industry
Needs to be able to lead the packaging team and deloiver Innovations for multiple BUs
Needs to drive the consumer centric culture employee engagement and results of an R&D team
Need to drive a vision detect need for change and implement change
Need to collaborate with and influence senior leaders in the organization
