Job Description

Position Overview:Newport School District is seeking an enthusiastic and creative 2nd Grade Teacher to lead a developmentally appropriate summer program designed to support rising and current 2nd grade students. The ideal candidate will create a safe engaging and nurturing environment that promotes early literacy numeracy and socialemotional learning through handson activities playbased instruction and thematic learning :Plan and implement instruction in early literacy numeracy motor skills and socialemotional developmentFoster a positive inclusive and supportive classroom environmentCollaborate with support staff to manage daily routines and student needsMonitor and assess student participation and progressCommunicate effectively with families and program coordinatorsEnsure student safety and wellbeing at all timesQualifications:Valid NH teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (K3)Experience teaching or working with earlyelementary agedchildrenStrong understanding of early childhood development and instructional strategiesExcellent classroom management and organizational skillsCreativity flexibility and a passion for early learnersCPR/First Aid certification preferred
