Shift: This role will support shift hours from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The Manufacturing Supervisor is critical for influencing and motivating direct reports to take on new challenges and realize their full potential ultimately facilitating a positive and engaging work environment. This individual will be able to lead career development plans and use crossfunctional relationships to realize department objectives in alignment with organizational goals.

The successful candidate demonstrates a sense of urgency contagious optimism and a cando demeanor. They lead by example and hold themselves and others accountable while maintaining productive and professional relationships within the team. They must be approachable open and have the ability to maintain a consistent level of energy and passion. The candidate must also be strategic astute and forwardthinking and have the ability to inspire empower and collaborate with others. The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading the Filling and Packaging Team and systems/processes and for safety quality compliance cost and human resources.

A Day in the Life:

  • Promotes and facilitates the safest working environment for all employees
  • Maintain a set budget
  • Collaborate with other supervisors on the 1st shift to ensure a smooth handoff between shifts.
  • Creates work center performance goals and leads each work center and each individual towards achieving those goals. Performs complete performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Recommends and coordinates measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of product
  • Participates in champions or leads projects to drive filling and packaging accuracy and system robustness.
  • Participates in internal and external audits and responds to audit observations.
  • Identifies and implements appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Leads the update of manufacturing records such as WINs SOPs and batch records.
  • Ensures and sustains material and document flow accuracy for the Filling and Packaging Team.
  • Maintains key drivers to ensure proper support for the Filling and Packaging teams.
  • Provides proper staffing and training to prevent manufacturing delays due to filling and packaging.
  • Creates daily schedule and weekly goals for the team specific to work order readiness quality and support of internal customers.
  • Works with product realization teams to facilitate the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
  • Schedules team overtime plans time off and supervises overall attendance.
  • Performs complete performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Creates and supports career development plans for direct reports.
  • Drives Practical Process Improvements (PPI) with a high level of team member involvement and engagement and applies lean methodologies to realize process efficiencies.
  • Recommends and coordinates measures to improve processes quality and safety.
  • Effectively reviews metrics to benchmark and drive team performance.
  • Works with support staff such as the Equipment Services Team IT Quality Manufacturing Teams Planning and Scheduling to complete manufacturing schedule to meet customer demands.
  • Effectively communicates barriers or issues and obtains needed support for resolution.

Keys to Success:

Education and Experience

  • A bachelors degree in business management computer science biological or chemical science or another related subject area is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities with the capability to demonstrate diverse resources respond quickly understand the impact of changes and decisions facilitate agreement build collaborative relationships and understand internal and external customer needs.
  • 2 years of experience in or supporting manufacturing.
  • 1 years of experience in a role demonstrating leadership preferred.
  • 1 years of experience in an ISO or cGMPregulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with an ERP system.
  • Experience with Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Systems and tools (or similar Continuous Improvement and Lean Systems).
  • Must be able to work with numerous departments and varying levels of employees.
  • Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and interdepartmental responsibilities.
  • Must ensure all team members work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials while adhering to ergonomic guidelines.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Software specifically Excel Word and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative skills and the ability to influence others without authority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Resultsoriented and datadriven.
  • Has strong project management skills.
  • A proactive approach that anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75000.00$112500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
