Accounting/Billing Specialist Accounting/Billing Specialist is responsible for daytoday accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll key performance indicators etc. Prepares financial reports. Assists team with analysis understanding and utilization of financial reports. Upholds LELs vision mission and values. Reports to: Controller Accounting Specialist will: Responsible for all areas of the Accounting Department including Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Reconciling and Auditing Assist in Processing payroll for multiple entities Enters and reconciles Accounts Payable invoices Assist with Reconciling multiple credit card accounts if applicable Processes expense reports mileage and employee reimbursements Responsible for filing all accounting related documents digitally and physically Responds to emails and phone calls pertaining to the Accounting Department within 24 hours of receipt Demonstrates competencies as a Direct Support Professional by providing assistance to Individuals as they pursue the Good Life. Any other duties requested by LEL Billing Specialist will: - Assist in Submitting claims using multistate Medicaid billing systems. Ensure accurate and timely submission of weekly billing for all entities
- Submitting Monthly Rent invoices for Group Living Individuals
- Ensures LEL is following all federal and state billing rules and regulations
- Ensures all medical billing records are maintained according to HIPAA guidelines
- Demonstrates positive customer service and communication skills with Individuals staff and all other company contacts
- If needed attend team meetings conducted via Microsoft teams.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business administration Accounting Finance and/or relevant field as well Certification in Medical Billing & Coding preferred 12 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures Familiarity with accounting regulations Basic math skills and the ability to identify numerical errors Advanced MS Office Skills; Word Excel Outlook Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software Basic knowledge of payroll software Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects Strong problemsolving skills Positive and pleasant attitude Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills LEL is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
