As a Procurement Specialist within Telixs Global Procurement team you will play a key role in managing procurement requests ensuring alignment with both tactical and strategic sourcing strategies and supporting procurement category managers. Your primary responsibility will be to triage incoming procurement requests determining whether they fall under tactical or strategic categories or are already assigned to a category manager. Additionally you will ensure proper creation monitoring and closure of Purchase Orders (POs) working closely with Accounts Payable to facilitate smooth transitions and payments. You will operate in compliance with SOX (SarbanesOxley) requirements ensuring all procurement processes and documentation are transparent accurate and auditable. This role is vital to maintaining the smooth functioning of the procurement process ensuring that all requests are efficiently addressed while adhering to internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities

Procurement Request Triage

    • Review and triage incoming procurement requests to determine whether they are tactical strategic or fall under the responsibility of a category manager.
    • Collaborate with the category management team to ensure requests are routed to the appropriate teams for strategic sourcing or tactical .
    • Ensure that procurement requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner with clear communication to internal stakeholders regarding next steps.

Procurement & Process Support

    • Support the procurement team in executing processes for both tactical and strategic procurement activities.
    • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and guidelines throughout the procurement lifecycle.
    • Assist with creating and managing purchase orders (POs) ensuring they are opened correctly and in accordance with procurement policies.
    • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure proper transition of POs to payables for payment processing and address any issues or discrepancies during the process.
    • Monitor POs to ensure they are closed in a timely manner if not used or when the related contracts are completed.
    • Manage amendments to POs including updates due to changes in contracts ensuring proper documentation and communication of such amendments.

Compliance and Documentation

    • Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with SOX compliance standards maintaining accurate and transparent records for audit purposes.
    • Implement procurement controls to meet compliance requirements and ensure that processes are documented and auditable.
    • Work closely with finance and compliance teams to review procurement processes and ensure they are consistent with internal audit and SOX standards.

Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement

    • Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function to enhance efficiency reduce lead times and improve vendor relationships.
    • Support the development and refinement of procurement templates guidelines and tools.
    • Provide regular updates to procurement leadership on the status of requests supplier performance and process improvements.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

    • Work closely with internal teams including finance legal and category managers to ensure procurement processes align with organizational goals and strategies.
    • Collaborate with business units to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with the broader strategic sourcing plan.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in procurement with a focus on procurement operations vendor management or sourcing.
  • Experience with procurement software and systems (e.g. SAP Ariba Coupa).
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and procurement regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes including purchase orders supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a fastpaced environment

  • Compliance and Control: Knowledge of SOX compliance internal controls and procurement audit requirements.
