Job Description

THE POSITION

The Cambria County Behavioral Health & Developmental Support Program is seeking an Accountant 1 to join our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Accountant 1 you will analyze incoming operating expense invoices prepare accounts payables vouchers and obtain administrative approval of vouchers in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Your duties will include assisting in analyzing incoming provider invoices and preparing the payment vouchers. In this position you will enter data into an automated accounting system and generate a vendor invoice list to be submitted weekly. You can expect to assist in the preparation of county budget data by compiling data for operating and contracted provider expenses. Additionally you will assist with locating and tagging of inventory and maintaining inventory lists.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting;or
  • One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting;or
  • Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting.
