Are you passionate about using AI to transform how people develop their careers Were seeking an experienced ML/AI scientist to work on innovative talent science products at Career Choice Amazons flagship education benefit program.
Youll develop cuttingedge models drawing from algorithmic fairness NLP supervised and unsupervised learning recommendation systems graph ML and reinforcement learning. Working with rich datasets spanning employee career trajectories educational outcomes and labor market trends youll help shape the future of career development at Amazon.
This role offers high visibility to senior Amazon business leaders and involves close collaboration with scientists engineers and product teams to bring ML models into production. Youll help solve highimpact problems in People Experience and Technology with opportunities to patent and publish your contributions.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement models and sciencebased product features
Develop fair predictive models for career and educational outcomes
Create project plans and communicate with stakeholders
Productionize ML models at Amazon scale
Drive innovation in talent science and career development
About the team
Career Choice Technology team is building AIpowered solutions including:
Personalized career pathway recommendations
Skill gap analysis and learning recommendations
Labor market trend prediction
Fair ML models for career guidance
Largescale recommendation systems
Graphbased skill networks
Reinforcement learning for career optimization
NLP models for educational content understanding
3 years of building models for business application experience
PhD or Masters degree and 4 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
Experience in patents or publications at toptier peerreviewed conferences or journals
Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures parsing numerical optimization data mining parallel and distributed computing highperformance computing
Experience using Unix/Linux
Experience in professional software development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
