About the role
Perform a variety of routine and specialised haemostasis and haematology tests (including haemoglobin studies) contributing to accurate and timely diagnostics.
Monitor quality control performance participate in external QA programs and assist with internal audits to ensure high standards and compliance.
Maintain laboratory equipment manage reagent and consumable stock levels and coordinate specimen referrals and report tracking with external labs.
Communicate effectively with clinicians wards and external sites ensuring urgent or critical results are delivered promptly and clearly.
Work as part of a supportive team participate in ongoing training and education sessions apply analytical thinking to solve complex lab issues and stay current with best practices in pathology.
About you
Youve got a bachelors degree (or higher) in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) with a solid foundation in haematology and haemostasis from a recognised tertiary institution.
You bring recent handson experience in haemostasis testingbonus points if youve worked with platelet aggregation and haemoglobin studies too!
Youre comfortable navigating lab IT systemstechsavvy detailoriented and ready to troubleshoot when needed.
Youre a selfstarter who can confidently work independently but also thrives in a collaborative teambased environment.
Youve got strong communication skillsclear professional and confident whether youre documenting results or chatting with colleagues.
