Cook Childrens Medical Center in Fort Worth Texas has a full time opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist. This is an opportunity to concentrate primarily on clinical care in a hospital based setting. Involvement in clinical research and teaching are not required but plentiful opportunities are available as are adjunct affiliations with local medical schools (TCU and UNT). Our endocrinology team led by medical director Dr. Paul Thornton is comprised of 13 board certified pediatric endocrinologists 5 advanced practice providers 4 certified pediatric nurse practitioners and 1 physician assistant) CDCES psychologists dieticians and social work. One of the worlds most respected congenital hyperinsulinism centers is right here at Cook Childrens. The department also includes a worldrenowned lipid clinic and a CAH comprehensive care center in addition to 7 other multispecialty clinics. We have 3 health care system Endowed chairs.
Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (M.D. or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O. required. American Heart Association BLS and PALS. Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date). Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics. Board certified/Board Eligible in pediatric endocrinology.
