Job Description
A manufacturing company with facilities in Lancaster NY is looking to hire a fulltime Industrial Engineer. The Industrial Engineer will be part of a collaborative team leading the transition from development to serial production of new products.
Duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work with design engineers on new product development design for manufacturability and house of quality deployment
- Ensure effective performance of production equipment
- Prototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes
- Create and maintain work instructions for the introduction of new products
- Document and improve facility and workstation layout
- Project expenditure justification
- Work with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
- Process design through common methods such as tooling instructions and equipment
- Presentation of yearly manufacturing performance reviews and equipment capacity analysis
- PPAS and APQP deliverable creation/development and updated through serial production
- Analyze cost reduction possibilities develop cost reduction proposals and implement cost reductions
- Process engineering change orders
