Description and Functions

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


This position ensures the incident reports are processed as required by policy and statute. Coordinates all functions of the incident report processing for the Risk Management Department. An individual in this position will provide records and data management support and some analysis for agency professionals. The individual must be a team player and handle all information in a confidential manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.


  • Responsible for input analysis reporting and trending of risk management assurance data.
  • Fulfills internal data requests.
  • Assists in the coordination of agency data collection activities.
  • Develops customized reports from databases including specialized reports spreadsheets presentations forms etc.
  • Give information to agency personnel.
  • Searches for and retrieves information from files and responds to informational requests.
  • Consults the manual of policy and procedure in order to ensure that actions to be taken are in keeping with laws or rules.
  • Gives information requiring some judgment or discretion regarding current and specific business of the work unit by telephone or by direct personal contact.
  • Reviews recordkeeping practices; determines and designates retention period for records in accordance with laws policies and program objectives; periodically retrieves obsolete material from files according to instructions and routes retrieved material for destruction or other destination.
  • Identifies manages and protects the integrity of state records.

Qualifications


PREFERENCES:


Preference may be given to candidates with Records & Data experience.


KNOWLEDGE:


Education:
Associates Degree (typically in Records or Data Management)

Experience:
01 year of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk

OR

Education & ExperienceSubstitution:
24 years of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk
