    Title: Food Service Staff
    Reports To: Director of Food Service
    Work Year: 9months
    Compensation & Hours: Parttime position. Pay range of $14.66 $16.60per hour depending on experience
    Pay Period: Direct Deposit on the last day of the month
    Benefits: Summers off paid leave IPERS

    Job Goal: To provide each studentwith a nutritious and high quality meal prepared in a safe and efficient environment.

    Required Education and Certification:

    • High School diploma or GED

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below are the essential tasks required for this job.

    Job Tasks Descriptions

    Communicates and demonstrates customer service approach of the Food Services Program.

    Use proper food handling cooking techniques and food safety procedures.

    Participatesin the proper food preparationand serving of meals according to the Food Service Department Standards.

    Assists withproper receiving storage and inventorying of all food storage areas paper chemicals and smallwaresaccording to the Food Service Department Standards.

    Ensures the freshness of all prepared items by implementing proper rotation of food items prepared properly wrapping and labeling prepared food items and following forecast production numbers.

    Helps maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen food storage and preparation areas.

    Assists with meal service preparation at the school site. Follows standardized recipesportion sizes menu compliance andutilize proper equipment and techniques.

    Follows a smoothflow of service and coordinates to assure that the students staff and faculty have a pleasurable dining experience.

    Accurately inputsallfood production recordsand meal count data required for theNational School Lunch Program.

    Foster district commitment to excellence and equity by ensuring that employees and students are valued respected and provided a positive work/learning environment.

    Establish positive relations with internal and external customers including students staff and school administration parents and community members.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
