The Department of Family and Community Services
Office of Childrens Services (OCS)is
recruiting for a fulltimeProtective Service Specialist 4 located in
Juneau Alaska.
This individual in this position is responsible to supervise five 5 Protective Services Specialists and two 2 Social Services Associates within the Juneau Family Services Unit. This person is responsible for ensuring safe children and strong families through oversight development coaching training evaluation and support of employees while maintaining a collaborative approach. The individual in this position will ensure the timely delivery of ongoing child protective services in accordance with State and Federal policies and procedures the Guiding Principles and the OCS Practice Model. The individual in this position is also responsible for a variety of administrative functions and personnel management that are critical to program operations.

This position is located in the Juneau Field Office on Mendenhall Mall Road which is in the heart of the Mendenhall Valley and within walking distance to several amenities. We serve the City of Juneau and outlying communities near Juneau to include Haines Skagway Angoon Hoonah Yakutat. Juneau is the hub community that also provides back up to our more rural offices in Southeast.
