We are Automation AI and Data (AAD) team that caters to data engineering and analytics automation and AI solutions for various groups and divisions within Thermofisher Scientific.
What will you do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineering Manager to lead our artificial intelligence engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AI/ML and GenAI proven leadership capabilities and a passion for solving complex problems with innovative AI solutions. You will be responsible for managing a team of AI engineers overseeing project delivery and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to drive AI initiatives aligned with business goals.
Job Functions
Lead and mentor a team of AI and GenAI engineers in designing developing and deploying AIdriven products and solutions.
Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to define requirements and drive successful project .
Ensure best practices in AI/ML model development testing validation and deployment.
Manage timelines priorities and resources for AI projects to ensure timely and highquality delivery.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML Generative AI and bring new ideas and innovations into the team.
Set clear goals manage performance and support career development for team members.
Promote a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
How will you get here
Education
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
Experience
10 years of experience in Software engineeringwithat least 3 years in AI/MLfocused roles.
2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
Deep understanding of LLMs transformers diffusion models GANs or other generative model architectures.
Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch Scikitlearn).
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with cloudbased ML platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience with deploying AI models into production environments (cloud or onprem).
Strong understanding of data structures algorithms and software design.
Excellent communication leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of ethical AI frameworks and responsible AI principles.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to mentor AI/ML teams.
Experience in agile development methodologies to deliver solutions and product features.
