Job Overview
We are seeking a Capital Regional Sales Manager to oversee and grow sales within the California and Arizona region. This role will be responsible for managing direct customer relationships and collaborating with regional manufacturer representatives. The ideal candidate is a resultsoriented sales professional with a proven track record in capital equipment sales a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the region.
Partner with local manufacturer rep firms to promote capital equipment product lines.
Conduct sales presentations technical reviews and proposal discussions with clients and engineers.
Guide customers through the design and bid process in coordination with internal engineering teams.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across municipal and industrial markets.
Provide technical training and product support to reps and customers.
Maintain sales activity records and CRM updates (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
Set and evaluate goals for rep firm performance within the assigned territory.
Attend relevant industry events workshops and company meetings to stay current with trends and product developments.
Qualifications:
Proven capital equipment sales experience preferably in the water/wastewater or related industries.
Strong technical aptitude; experience with centrifuge technology is a plus.
Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently from a home office.
Strong relationshipbuilding communication and presentation skills.
Experience working with municipal procurement processes consulting engineers and contractors.
Familiarity with complex sales and bid processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Prior experience in the municipal wastewater sector is strongly preferred.
