Newport School District is seeking a qualified and detailoriented Special Education Teacher to support Extended School Year (ESY) programming through case management and special education evaluations for students age 322during the summer months. This role is ideal for an educator with strong organizational skills and experience in IEP development compliance documentation and conducting or supporting special education evaluations as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a position will be for up to 66 hours between June 16 2025and August 15 2025. All work must be performed onsite. Meetings will be scheduled primarily TuesdayThursday afternoons depending on parent/guardian Responsibilities:Serve as the case manager for assigned students participating in ESY servicesCoordinate and facilitate summer special education meetings as needed (e.g. annual reviews amendments eligibility determinations)Collaborate with evaluators related service providers and families to support timely and compliant summer special education evaluationsComplete required paperwork including evaluation summaries IEP documents and progress updatesEnsure compliance with state and federal timelines related to evaluations and IEP implementationMaintain effective communication with district special education administration and summer staff
