Your Role
The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes across both facilities in Toronto ON and Winchester TN. This position involves developing a deep understanding of our production methods machinery tooling and materials. The Engineering Manager will lead initiatives for process improvement material science research & development tool design and maintenance ensuring we deliver highquality products efficiently
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Expertise:Develop and maintain expertise in all manufacturing processes and the associated equipment and tooling used in rubber gasket production.
Process Optimization:Analyse and optimize manufacturing processes production flow and endtoend material handling to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Tool Design & Maintenance:Oversee tool design and maintenance ensuring that all tooling meets production requirements and is maintained in optimal condition.
Material Expertise:Gain indepth knowledge of the materials used in our manufacturing processes and lead R&D initiatives in collaboration with the Product Innovation team.
Plant Turnaround:Play a key role in the plant turnaround in Toronto redesigning fundamental processes implementing knowledge management and reporting systems.
Team Leadership:Manage and mentor a team that includes a Process Specialist and Tooling Developer fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
CrossFunctional Collaboration:Work closely and manage relationships with other departments to ensure alignment on engineering initiatives and product development.
Requirements
Education & Certificates
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Professional Engineer Certification is beneficial but not mandatory
Technical Skill & Knowledge:
5 to 7 Years of Experience in Engineering Management or a related field preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and problemsolving techniques.
Expertise in use of mechanical design software such as CAD or Solidworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing a team.
