Job Description
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities student workers will perform a variety of general clerical duties in support of the Facilities Department. Assist in sorting organizing and displaying surplus items available for the college community. Pick up and deliver surplus on campus. Perform light cleaning of the surplus store room. Provide descriptions and photos of surplus items to post for sell on different selling platforms.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience: Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at LinnBenton Community College. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Must be able to read and write in English. Must have good attention to detail. Must be able to operate a keyboard computer and scanner. Must be able to communicate with faculty staff and students work well independently and with others. Ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of basic computer operations including keyboarding up/downloading files using the Internet basic knowledge of MS Office applications and using email.
