DescriptionWe are looking for a Product Test Engineer to evaluate and optimize OEM gas appliance performance. This role involves troubleshooting customer equipment issues conducting performance testing on warm air furnaces boilers water heaters and other combustion systems and providing technical support for new gas ignition products. Additionally the engineer will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading application and combustion test labs.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with handson experience using Data Acquisition tools (such as LabView) and in installing and troubleshooting gas appliances. Success in this role requires problemsolving skills root cause analysis and collaboration with engineers technicians and marketing product managers in a crossfunctional team.
Job Duties:
- Install and operate OEM appliances to evaluate new product concepts and appliance performance.
- Perform customerrequested testing to identify performance concerns and ensure product reliability.
- Connect data acquisition equipment to collect appliance performance data for analysis and interpretation.
- Troubleshoot test failures and diagnose root causes of performance issues.
- Write detailed test plans reports and technical documentation.
- Maintain and upgrade lab test equipment to support ongoing evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineers technicians and marketing teams to enhance product development.
- Stay up to date with industry trends emerging technologies and competitor products.
You Must Have:
- 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer with experience working in a Test Lab.
- Experience using electronic test tools and data acquisition (DAQ) equipment with proficiency in LabView or similar tools (e.g. DAQmx MATLAB Pythonbased data logging systems.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and aptitude.
- Verbal and written communication skills to document and convey test results effectively.
