This exciting opportunity is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional who is passionate about the wilderness conservation and providing exceptional guest experiences. The Relief Lodge Manager will be responsible for the smooth operation of the lodge maintaining high standards and ensuring a seamless guest journey while supporting and leading a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the lodge including guest services hosting housekeeping maintenance F&B and administration
Maintain and enhance the guest experience through continuous improvement and innovation
Ensure the smooth running of the lodge in the absence of senior management
Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the lodge team
Monitor performance and ensure adherence to company standards and procedures
Manage stock procurement financial processes and budget performance
Implement environmental and social standards as per company policy
Ensure compliance with health safety and labour laws applicable in Namibia
Support community engagement and uphold sustainability principles
Prepare and manage guest records bookings dietary needs and activity schedules
Maintain accurate administrative records reporting and monthend procedures
Support HR functions including recruitment staff performance scheduling and training
Encourage collaboration and open communication across departments
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in a senior lodge management or relief management role
Relevant hospitality qualification (National Diploma or Degree)
Strong operational knowledge in all lodge departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Sound financial and administrative acumen
Valid driver s licence
Namibian citizenship or valid work permit required
Fluency in English essential
