Export Operator
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide an operational service to meet the customers needs in a cost effective manner and consistently promoting the Company.
Working closely with and reporting to the Operations Manager to ensure client retention and company growth.
Duties:
- Liaison with customers/overseas agents/partners intercompany offices & related parties.
- Dealing with Export FCL and LCL container freight
- Preparation/Presentation of Export Customs Entries
- Bills of Lading/Emanifest/ISF AMS CDS entries and any other related documentation.
- Preparing spreadsheets and Invoices.
- Responsible for collection of all monies due in liaison with the Accounts department.
- Develop a professional Working relationship with other offices customers and
- suppliers.
- Filing Electronic
- Health Safety & Welfare To promote and maintain their own as defined in the Company H&S
Requirements
C Conversant with all aspects of Ocean/Sea Export (Import sea would be an but not a requisite)
Strong technical and operational background.
Freight Forwarding or shipping related qualifications desirable
Minimum 2 years experience in the shipping/logistics sector is essential.
Computer literate Good Geographical knowledge.
Knowledge of handling Letters of Credit/ IPR and other Freight related documents in relation to exporting cargo.
Experience in Project forwarding Is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

Effective communication at all levels both internally and externally.
Organised (prioritise/plan/assign/control)
Able to use initiative
Adaptable and flexible
Good presentation skills.
Builds lasting and profitable relationships with both customers and suppliers.
