Job Description

Role and Industry:
We are looking to hire a Lead QA/QC for a Marine Sector company in Doha Qatar.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional certification: Qualified Welding Engineer/Inspector (AWS/CSWIP) ASNT Level II (MP/PT/UT) Internal/Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015.
  • 5 to 8 years’ combined experience in marine and nonmarine sectors.
  • Proficiency in generic computer applications; CAD exposure preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English with strong reportwriting ability.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Develop project quality plans QA/QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and generate timely reports.
  • Investigate nonconformities implement corrective actions and document findings.
  • Address customer complaints and provide solutions within budget and contract.
  • Review subcontractor/consultant/thirdparty QA/QC documentation.
  • Carry out welding inspections NDE inspections and ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to document control practices and manage Quality Records (QR).
  • Provide QHSE input for proposal submissions and conduct internal audits.
  • Deliver training and lessons learned sessions for work groups.
