Job Description

Full Lead Trails Guide Luxury Private Game Lodge North West
Salary: From R13500 DOE Medical Aid Contribution Accommodation

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Full Lead Trails Guide for a renowned luxury private game lodge in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and passionate guide to join a professional team delivering unforgettable guest experiences in a Big 5 reserve.


Remuneration & Benefits

  • Salary starting from R13500 per month (FGASA Level 1

    • Additional R500 for FGASA Level 2 and Level 3

    • Additional R500 for qualified Trails Guides with valid 30/20/10 and Bush Lane

  • Medical aid contribution of R1297.31 (after 3month probation)

  • Own furnished room with ensuite bathroom in the staff village (bed fan curtains provided)

  • WiFi in staff quarters

  • Daily laundry service


Key Responsibilities

On Guest Drive Days:

  • Conduct morning and afternoon game drives 3 hours each)

  • Host guests at dinners (rotational schedule with special hosting for singles agents or boma nights)

  • Lead walking safaris for interested guests

  • Assist with guest checkin/checkout and luggage handling

  • Help tracker with vehicle cleaning and readiness

  • Support with emergency maintenance as required

On NonDrive Days:

  • Assist lodge maintenance team with daily tasks

  • Proactively identify and report any repair needs

  • Collaborate with fellow guides for training drives or shared learning

  • Communicate with management for additional duties or lodge support


Requirements:

  • FGASA Level 1 (minimum) with increases based on Level 2 or 3

  • Full Trails Guide qualification with uptodate Bush Lane and Rifle Proficiency (advantageous)

  • Valid First Aid ARH DEAT registration and PDP

  • Excellent interpersonal and hosting skills

  • Passionate about wildlife conservation and guest service

  • Strong work ethic with a handson teamoriented attitude

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and assist in all lodge operations when needed
