Role: Audit Manager
Location: Blackburn BB1 2FA Office Based
Contract: Permanent / Full Time
Salary: (DOE Discretionary Bonus Scheme)

About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Manager to join our Finance function at EG Group. Reporting into the Projects Financial Controller you will be part of a Finance projects team in a team of 4 Finance Mangers overseeing a number of projects covering Audit continuous improvement transitions and SAP.
Your time will be split between audit projects and nonaudit projects with a focus on improving the processes systems and financial information for the team.

What youll be doing:
- Project managing continuous improvement projects like:
- Month end improvements
- Balance sheet reconciliations improvements
- Financial reporting improvements
- Recruitment and onboarding projects
- Local stat preparation improvements
- Managing over transitions like new acquisitions into the business
- Assisting in the system implementation SAP S/4HANA project
- Managing over the statuary external audit by:
- Leading a prior year review and implementing current year improvements
- Building and running a comprehensive audit task tracker (over 1000 items across 10 trading entities)
- Being the key go between for the Business as Usual (BAU) finance team and the external auditors.
- Leading audit update meetings with key internal and external stakeholders
- Providing both general and technical support to BAU finance team on audit work

What were looking for:
- Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong practice background looking for a first role in industry
- Strong Audit experience
- Project management experience
- Strong organisational skills
