Ventia have over 35 years experience working with Defence and have provided Firefighting Services. With a new contract awarded in 2024 to provide 6 2 2 years. Now is the time to join Ventias Fire Services; we are currently seeking a Firefighter to join the Fire and Rescue operations at the Army Aviation Centre in East Sale VIC.
About the role
This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to incidents including airfield structural and bushfire management. You will perform duties as directed by the Station & Sub Station Officers including but not limited to:
- Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed.
- Complying with operational health and safety requirements.
- Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness.
Special conditions:
To be eligible for this role you must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen be able to pass an Australian Federal Police check and the ability to successfully pass a CASA Basic Class 2 preemployment medical.

About You
You must supply evidence of the following qualifications with your application. (Only complete applications will be assessed). The following minimum qualifications are required:
- PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
- PUA30619 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
- Hold a current HR drivers licence
