Job Description:
Attend and participate in all trainings and meetings within employee group and departmentwide including Mandatory Kids Camp Counselor Training: May 19th June 2nd
Assist Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Youth Camps with the implementation and supervision of all UToledo Kids Camp activities.
Ensure the safety of Campers and Camp Activities in accordance with the UToledo Emergency Action Plan.
Assist with the recruitment and hiring of UToledo Kids Camp Counselors.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Camp Counselor Training(s).
Develop and maintain daily summer camp activities and schedule.
Assist with the scheduling and preparation of all off campus field trips.
Collaborate with counselors to chaperone campers on all weekly off campus field trips.
Maintain daily facility and equipment preparation for all UToledo Kids Camp Activities.
Support and contribute with the management and enforcement of camp disciplinary policy and procedures.
Collaborate with the Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Youth Camps with the management and tracking of the UToledo Kids Camp Budget.
Assist the Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Youth Camps with the management and tracking of weekly registrations and payments.
Work independently and interdependently with Coordinator(s) and teammates.
Perform general office tasks.
Other Duties as assigned by the UToledo Recreational Services Professional Staff or The Division of Student Affairs.
Function as a contributing member of the UToledo Recreational Services team
Be able to assist in daytoday camp activities planned for about 80 campers a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Champion and model the Office of Recreational Services mission vision and values.
Must have and maintain current American Red Cross BLS CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. If hired offered free through the rec center. Dates TBA at a later time.
Must clear a criminal background check to work with minors 512 years old).
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred degree related to early education and development or similar to.
