The Service Technician is responsible for keeping the appearance and operations of the property in excellent condition both inside and out. Daily responsibilities include making ready units for new moveins performing work orders (electrical plumbing HVAC etc. appliance repairs unit inspections updating logs as needed and exterior maintenance. This role will respond to afterhours emergencies (oncall) as well.
What Youll Do
- Prepare units for moveins with electrical plumbing carpentry masonry and painting repairs.
- Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe conditions including reporting any safety concerns to the Service Manager and or Community Manager immediately.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for 24hour emergency maintenance and oncall responsibilities.
- Complete grounds pick up sweeping and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
What You Need to Succeed
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 years of relevant experience required.
- OSHA EPA and CPO license/certifications preferred.
- Written verbal and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and uptodate vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
