Job description
We are looking for a reliable and safetyconscious StandUp Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role you will operate a standup forklift to efficiently receive store transfer and pick products following company procedures. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading freight from transportation trucks while ensuring that operations run smoothly in a fastpaced handson environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a standup forklift to move locate relocate and stack product.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for material handling.
- Perform receiving putaway picking and inventory transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to company safety policies and best practices.
- Comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDPs) food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout and at the end of the shift.
- Execute materials flow control through effective inventory practices.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by supervisors or warehouse clerks.
- Promote a positive productive work environment with a strong cando attitude.
Core Competencies:
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills and ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to follow and comply with SOPs and SQF (Safe Quality Food) procedures.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety quality and organizational policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
Qualifications:
- Required: Valid StandUp Forklift Operator Certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a standup forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
