Location: Vancouver WA or Portland OR or Chinook WA (all geographical areas suggested)

Join us in an exciting role overseeing the renovation of the historic Columbia River Pile Dikes! Were seeking an experienced Construction Quality Assurance Professional for a temporary fulltime position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vancouver Office.
Project Duration
This position is fulltime temporary work that falls within the InWater Work Window (IWWW)
July 1stNovember 30th 2025
July 1stNovember 30th 2026
Approximately 50 hours per week with the ability to work ample overtime hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily quality assurance inspections of construction activities
Monitor contractors quality control and safety programs
Prepare and submit detailed digital inspection reports through USACE systems including photo documentation and proper formatting protocols
Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and permits
Verify construction accuracy against plans and specifications
Participate in quality control meetings and safety oversight
Work Environment:
Perform daily work onboard a construction barge
Office onboard the barge will be provided for efficient work performance
Willingness to work in adverse conditions for extended periods which may include inclement weather.
Qualifications:
2 years construction experience (heavy civil projects preferred) OR relevant college degree
NACI Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Knowledge of USACE and OSHA safety requirements preferred
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management
Experience with USACE projects and procedures
Background in pile dike construction and marine projects
Familiarity with quality control processes and reporting
