Job Description

Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for leadership and process improvement Vanguard is seeking dedicated individuals for two key managerial roles within our finance team:Fixed Asset Accounting ManagerandExpense Accounting Manager.

We are seeking highly skilled and detailoriented professionals to manage the companys fixed assets and expense accounting processes. The Fixed Asset Accounting Manager will ensure accurate accounting and reporting of fixed assets while the Expense Accounting Manager will ensure accurate recording and reporting of expenses and partner with FP&A to support financial planning and analysis.

Both roles require strong analytical skills proficiency in accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Successful candidates will have experience in managing teams providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for process improvement. Additionally you will supervise and mentor a team of 45 accounting professionals fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Hires evaluates and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards reviews performance and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

  • Leads the domestic and international finance shared service operations related to corporate accounting activities. Provides oversight and guidance to the department heads and management teams and ensures quality of service to business clients.

  • Contributes to the development communication and implementation of standard policies around global financial shared services. Works collaboratively with business units both domestically and internationally to ensure understanding and compliance with policies.

  • Leads process improvements to gain efficiencies and ensure quality. Fosters a comprehensive conceptual understanding of processes and their impact to internal and external clients within the group. Works with senior management to create communications plans.

  • Leads the control environment and framework working in collaboration with business partners. Ensures that risk issues are proactively identified addressed and integrated into all daily processes. Promotes the use of appropriate dashboards. Monitors documentation for departmental procedures.

  • Builds strong relationships and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Leverages significant experience and business knowledge

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience in accounting or financial reporting.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred.

  • CPA strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in accounting principles.

  • Understanding of risk management control design and process improvement.

  • Experience with data analytics is a plus.

  • Experience in leading teams and providing constructive feedback.
