Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the companys success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electromechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies subassemblies or end products.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of mechanical or electromechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies subassemblies or end products
- Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality
- Follows an engineering assembly process but may require the ability to adjust fit or align parts
- Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers screw drivers soldering irons and wrenches
- Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
- Uses Microsoft Office programs
- Maintains neat and clean work area
- Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
- Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
- Willingness to learn and work in a fastpaced flexible production state of the art environment
- Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
- Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift
- Able to transport up to 30 lbs
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance which requires US Citizenship
- Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material
Qualifications:
- Requires a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Electrical background at the component level.
- Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process.
- JSTD001 IPC610.
- Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.
