About the department
You will be joining the Finance GBS Bangalore team established in 2007. Our team is responsible for supporting Accounting Finance & Procurement Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters North America International Operations (IO) Product Supply & GBS Bangalore. The position

As an Advanced Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk you will:

Lead and ensure accurate month end closing financial Reporting & Planning covering monthly/ quarterly internal reporting packages and budgeting. Being the SPOC for the affiliate/BA and addressing their queries along with Head of Finance. Driving and participate in the implementation of digital tools in the affiliate/BA Office. Continuous process review enhancement and optimization of finance & accounting processes and driving crossfunctional and BA projects. Identifying value creation opportunities based on business understanding. Ensuring house in order is strictly followed along with BA office /affiliate Finance team. Collaborating and driving the FPA and Finance GBS initiatives along with the team. Prepare monthly management report MME and other internal reporting packages.

  • Prepare high quality budget submission and presentations for the BRM meeting. Independently driving Brand P&L process to ensure transparency in resource allocation process during budget cycles.
  • Driving cost challenge meetings with the departments and actively participate in sales challenge meeting. Prepare analysis files for the management and addressing BA queries and submissions during budget processes. Drive digitalisation within the affiliate and supporting BA office.
  • Perform adhoc analysis and partnering with management for strategic initiatives. Monitoring TR and provision development and reconciling affiliate files vs SAP. Driving and active participation in internal and cross functional projects. Proactively collaborating with colleagues in other affiliates to continuously & identify best practices for standardisation and simplification opportunities.
  • Provide training to nonfinance colleagues in the affiliate. Maintaining the cost center structure in SAP Providing additional support during health check and GIA audit. Ensure SOPs are maintained as part of BCP.
  • Reviewing cash & credit expenses and payroll posting. Driving month end closing process (accruals & repostings) along with accountant by following up & collaborating with various stakeholders. Ensuring ICQ process are performed timely and maintained well.

Qualification

  • Masters in finance (or equivalent) from a wellrecognized institute.
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in business controlling and other finance disciplines.
  • olid understanding within the field of accounting and finance.
  • Proficient with PCtools extensive knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of VBA / Power BI / Qlik Sense is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Proactiveness and problem solver.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize several tasks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player and good collaborator.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
